Sir John Simon, the British Secretary for Foreign Affairs, revealed today in the House of Commons that the British Ambassador in Berlin, acting on the British Government’s instructions, made representations to the German authorities regarding the Jewish question, three weeks ago. Sir John Simon disclosed that the British Ambassador discussed the matter with the German Foreign Minister, von Neurath. Sir John Simon also mentioned that he had discussed the matter again with the German Ambassador in London last week. In both cases, he declared, the replies given were of a reassuring nature.
