The Foreign Office is considering the Israeli note presenting the Jewish state’s claims on Germany for $1,500,000,000 and is expected to call for American-British-French consultations on it, the Times of London reported today.
In an editorial commenting on the Israeli note, the Manchester Guardian urges sympathetic consideration of the claim, but points out that there are practical difficulties in the path of implementation. The Times commented that Israel’s claim was of a new type not covered by existing machinery.
