The diversion of funds intended for European refugee children exclusively by Foreign Minister Ernest Berin to aid for Arab refugees, only some of whom are children, was criticized here last night at a meeting of the Board of Deputies of British Jews by F.M. Landan, a deputy, who called the diversion a “mean and shabby trick.”Mr. Landan expressed regret that Sir Stafford Cripps, Chancellor of the Exchequer, had supported Bevin in this action.
