Despite public indignation aroused by the meeting on Saturday night at which British pro-Nazis “hailed” faseist leader Sir Oswald Mosley, and shoulted “Perish Judah,” Home Secretary Chuter Ede is reported to have said that he does not contemplate taking any action against the organizers of the demonstration.
“If these peopleuse violence against anybody during their meetings,” the “Esily Express” reported Ede as saying, “then they will be dealt with by the police in the ordinary way. There is nothing to prevent them holding meetings, but they must follow the rules the same as everyone else.”
