The British Section of the World Jewish Congress announced today that it favored amendment of the Race Relations Act of 1965 to outlaw racial discrimination in housing, employment, commercial services and places of public resort. A campaign to persuade the government to initiate the amendment in Parliament was launched by the United Kingdom Committee for Human Rights.
