Maurice Edelman, president of the Anglo Jewish Association, pleaded today for unity among British Jews in presenting the situation of Soviet Jewry to Premier Kosygin and Communist party Secretary General Brezhnev on the forthcoming visit of the Soviet leaders to Britain. Speaking at a luncheon, he said that Soviet Jews had “the status of a national minority but not the rights accorded to other national minorities.”
