A demand that the Government clamp down an immediate ban on the recently formed “British National Party” on the ground that it is anti-Semitic, pro-Nazi and anti-Soviet, was made today by many peers and members of Commons, led by Lord Wedgwood.

They charge that the group is merely a new form of the illegal “British Union of Fascists,” which was headed by Sir Oswald Mosley, and “is spreading the same vile anti-Semitic abuse as the Nazis.”
