The British Post Office will take “every precaution” to avoid dissemination of racist and other hate materials through the mails. Post-master General Reginald Bevins promised today.
Mr. Bevins gave his assurance to Sir Barnett Janner, a Labor member of Parliament who is also president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews. Sir Barnett had expressed concern in an approach to the Postmaster General, that a proposed, new Post Office scheme for delivery of unaddressed circulars would open the possibility for dissemination of hate materials.
