A protest against the policy of the Palestine government in permitting the increase of saloons in Palestine was adopted at a meeting of the English Good Templars held at Bristol.

The matter was debated in connection with the question raised recently in the House of Commons. It was pointed out that simultaneously with the increase in the number of saloons there has been a marked increase in the crimes in Palestine during the last five years.

The meeting decided to send a strong protest to the League of Nations, to Premier Baldwin and Col. Amery against permitting such a condition in Palestine which is under the British mandate.
