The 61st annual conference of the British Zionist Federation today adopted a resolution declaring that it does not favor the merger of the two World Confederations of General Zionists except on the basis of strict non-identification with any political party in Israel.
The conference, which opened here last night, also called for continuation of the Shnat Sherut program in which Anglo-Jewish youth spend a year in Israel working and studying in order to “arouse their Zionist consciousness.”
