British Zionist women expect to raise approximately $40,000 to purchase additional land in Palestine and at the same time contribute much salvageable material to Britain’s war effort as the result of a gigantic rummage sale which they are launching, it was announced here today.
The Federation of Women Zionists of Great Britain, together with the women’s division of the British Jewish National Fund, are collecting all sorts of waste material, which will either be resold, if useable, or melted down and used for war purposes. Mrs. Rebecca Sieff has been elected chairman of the drive.
