The Zionist Federation of Great Britain appealed today to the conference of foreign ministers to prevent an arms race in the Middle East and to give “urgent consideration” to Israel’s plea for arms from the West to offset the supplies Egypt is receiving from the Communist bloc.
The Mizrachi Organization of Great Britain, in a message to the “hard-pressed people of Israel” called on both the Soviet and Western Powers to realize that one-sided supply of arms to the Arabs will not further peace but only encourage Arab aggression.
