The British Zionist Federation called upon Conservative Party leader Edward Heath today to repudiate an anti-Zionist statement made by one of his colleagues, Dennis Walter, at a pro-Arab Palestine Day rally here last week. Mr. Walter, who was billed at the rally as chairman of the Conservative Party’s foreign affairs committee, declared that “Zionism should be obliterated.” The Zionist Federation asked Mr. Heath to reconfirm his party’s previously stated friendly stand toward Israel in the Middle East conflict.
