The British General Zionists aligned themselves this week-end with the faction of the World Confederation of General Zionists which opposes any identification of the centrist movement with Israeli political parties.
In a resolution which passed with but one opposition vote, the General Zionist Administrative Committee of the Zionist Federation of Britain and Ireland welcomed the recent reorganization of the confederation and hailed its new joint chairmen, Mrs. Rose Halprin and Dr. Israel Goldstein.
“The decision to exclude Israel political parties from the World Confederation of General Zionists coincides with the policy consistently advocated by British General Zionism since the last Zionist Congress,” the resolution said. “This committee. therefore, declares its solidarity in support of the reorganized World Confederation of General Zionists.”
