Allan Bronfman, prominent Jewish philanthropist, will head the 1960 general appeal of the World University Service of Canada, it was announced here today. Funds raised in the appeal will enable 40 students and five professors from universities throughout Canada to participate in the 11th annual WUS International Seminar to be held this year in Israel from June 28 to August 4.
The aim of the seminar is to give participants a better understanding of the problems and attitudes of other nations. While in Israel, the students will be given the opportunity of studying the economic, political, religious, sociological, industrial and historical aspects of the country.
