For the eighth time the trial of Samson Bronstein, who was violently beaten and tortured by gendarmes following charges leveled against him for supposedly spreading Communist propaganda, has been postponed, this time until the middle of February. The court postponed the trial because it claimed one of the chief witnesses is absent.
Bronstein is a Poale Zionist leader. His sufferings at the hands of the Roumanian police because of a trumped up charge of engaging in anti-national activities have become a matter of world attention.
