Plans for a borough-wide campaign to enlist the support of every section and industry in the Bronx, for the $1,250,000 Greater New York United Jewish Appeal, will be discussed and completed Wednesday evening at a meeting at the Concourse Plaza Hotel, it was announced yesterday by Abraham Krasne, chairman of the Bronx committee. Several hundred men and women who are prominent in the philanthropic, communal and social activities of the Bronx will attend the meeting at which Dr. Kurt Rosenfeld, exiled former Prussian Minister of Justice, will speak.
The month of May will be “Child Health Month” for thousands of American Jewish women who will mark the occasion by a series of events under the auspices of the 300 chapters of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America.
