The board of directors of the Bronx division of this year’s drive for the Federation for the Support of Jewish Philanthropic Societies will hold its initial meeting at the Metropolis Club, tonight. Albert Goldman, general chairman of the unit, and Ira J. Sobol, chairman of the board of directors, announced yesterday:
“We are going to make plans for the most important drive ever undertaken by Federation, which does the major portion of organized Jewish charity in the Bronx and Manhattan,” Mr. Goldman stated in making known the details of the initial meeting.
Vice-chairmen of the Bronx division are: M. Maldwin Fertig, Abraham Krasne, Max J. Schneider, and Isidor Teitelbaum. Other group chairmen who will be actively involved in the Bronx didision this year are: Emil Leitner, chairman Real Estate Division: William Klapp, chairman, professional groups; Bernard Mogilesky, chairman, district organization; William Lyman, associate chairman, district organization, and Bernard Trencher, chairman, speakers’ bureau.
