The tenth anniversary of the Emanu-El Synagogue, 1310 Elder avenue, the Bronx, was celebrated Wednessday night with a banquet held at the synagoure.
Speakers included Maurice Shapiro and Jacob Orner, president of the congregation. Mr. Shapiro traced the growth of the institution since its foundation ten years ago. Hea revealed that of the 300 childre3n attending the Talmud Torah fifty per cent pay no tuition.
Another birthday banquet will be held on Sunday evening at the Imperial Garden, 1209 Colgate avenue, at which Joseph Jordan and Julious Meyer will speak.
