Judge William M. Lewis of Philadelphia, vice-president of the Zionist Organization of America, was to have addressed the opening session of the Bronx Region of the Zionist Organization Saturday evening at Elsmere Hall, 284 East 170th street, Bronx.
Sunday’s sessions will start at 10 a.m. and the second annual conference of the region will come to a conclusion in the evening with a banquet. The Bronx region was organized last year to create Zionist sentiment in the Bronx. In the course of its year of activity, it has increased Zionist membership in the borough by fifty percent. It published a periodical, The Bronx Zionist.
Morris Margulies, secretary of the Zionist Organization of America, will address the Sunday session of the conference. He will discuss the work of the ZOA, particularly its roll call and the Zionist Extension Fund which was created for the stimulation of cultural and educational activities in accordance with the plan submitted to the national convention last July by Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization of America.
