The Brooklyn Jewish Ministers Association yesterday adopted a resolution asking District Attorney William F. X. Geoghan to enforce the law against “mushroom” synagogues in a meeting at the Brooklyn Home and Hospital for the Aged.
The resolution called the District Attorney’s attention to the recently enacted Lazarus Joseph Act forbidding “mushroom synagogues.” Rabbi Moses J. S. Abels, president of the Association, appointed a committee headed by Rabbi Harry Halpern, to visit the District Attorney before the end of this week and acquaint him with the resolution.
