A dinner in honor of Heinz Liepmann, German Jewish author of “Murder—Made in Germany” who is now on a lecture tour here, and Professor Albert Einstein will be given Dec. 22, it was announced yesterday by the Brooklyn Jewish Center, 667-691 Eastern parkway.
The dinner will be held to inaugurate the American Library of Nazi-Banned Books. According to Joseph Goldberg, administrative director of the Broklyn Jewish Center, the occasion will be the first time Dr. Einstein has appeared at a function in Brooklyn.
The American Library of Nazi-Banned Books, modeled after a similar collection in Paris, will contain copies of the books burned by the Nazis in the bonfire of May 10, 1933. For the present the library will be housed at the Center. Liepmann is one of the writers whose books were thrown to the flames.
