Municipal Court Justice Nathan Sweedler presented diplomas to the graduates of the Hebrew and Sabbath schools of the Hebrew Educational Society, Hopkinson and Saratoga avenues, Brooklyn, at last night’s commencement exercises.
Rabbi Alter F. Landesman. superintendent of the society, officiated. Speakers included Rabbi S. L. Hurwitz, Max Herzfeld, president of the society, and Abraham Feit, chairman of the religious committee.
Graduates of the Hebrew School included Anna Berman, Sam Eis-enstadt, Rose Levy, Shirley Melnitsky, Shirley Newman, Dorothy Nosoff, Mollie Scheer and Sam Simon. Those of the Sabbath school were Ruth Dockswell, Mollie Greenberg, Dorothy Nosoff, Rose Levy, Sol and Adele Schaikewitz.
