Bruno Walter to Conduct at Italian Music Festival; Visa Ban Denied

Reports that the Italian Foreign Office had refused a visa to Bruno Walter, famous conductor who cancelled his Salzburg contract after Austro-German Anschluss, were officially denied today. In a statement to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, the art executive of the Florence Music Festival declared Herr Walter will conduct a Brahms concert on April 27.
