The amount of £200,000, the loan obtained by the Budapest Jewish community from the London Prudential Assurance Company. Ltd., through the agency of the British Overseas Bank. Limited, for the purpose of ?trying out a number of building works. has been placed to the credit of the community in the Budapest bank.
The loan will be used for the purpose of building three synagogues completing the construction of the secondary school for Jewish boys and girls. establishing a Jewish hospital, two tenement houses. and a monument to the Jewish soldiers who fell in the Creat War, which has been designed by Professor Rona.
Repayment will be made in seventy half-yearly payments at a rate of 8.7 percent.
