The statutes of the Orthodox Jewish Community here was approved by the Hungarian Government. The statutes of this community include a clause which permits a number of trustees to expel from the congregation, those members who have committed a transgression against the Shulcham Aruch, the Jewish religious code of law.
Another clause of the incorporation articles imposes a communal tax on the Jewish women who earn an independent livlihood, although no sufferage right is granted to these women tax payers.
Note: In yesterday’s bulletin, we stated that eight hundred Hungarian prisoners were repatriated from Siberia to their native land by the Siberian Repatriation War Fund of which Mr. Felix M. Warburg was Chairman. The number should have been eight thousand.
