The Rev. Julio Meinvielle, a Catholic priest and author of the virulently anti-Jewish work, “Mystery of the Jews in History,” today reiterated his anti-Semitic views in a letter to Henry R. Luce, editor of Time Magazine. The letter was published in the Argentine daily El Mundo here.
Father Meinvielle, writing in response to a Time article on his anti-Semitic activities, denied that he had been condemned by the Catholic hierarchy for his opinions on Jews. He said that his book had received the imprimaturs of the Archbishop of Buenos Aires. “Regarding my affirmation that ‘Jews are the sons of the devil’ I only repeat the teachings of our Lord Jesus,” he stated.
