The Buffalo United Emergency Appeal in behalf of German Jewish Relief, the Palestine drive, the Hebrew University and other causes was formally opened here last night at a meeting at the Hotel Statler. A goal of $28,000 is being sought.
Five hundred members of the Buffalo Jewish community attended the meeting at which Eugene Warner presided. The speakers were Rabbis Israel Efros, Harry Silverstone and Joseph L. Fink. Rabbi Joseph Giten offered the invocation. The campaign will continue until the quota is raised.
