The House Rules Committee today approved a resolution introduced by William T. Schulte (Dem., Ind.) authorizing the Immigration Committee to study the immigration laws and the smuggling of aliens into the United States and to suggest remedial legislation. The Immigration Committee would have subpoena powers and get the cooperation of the Departments of State, Justice and Labor.
