Deportation proceedings, it was indicated here today, may be instituted against Herman Max Schwinn, west coast director of the German-American Bund who yesterday was deprived of his citizenship.

Federal Judge Ralph E. Jenney yesterday cancelled Schwinn’s certificate of naturalization after submission of proof by the United States District Attorney’s office that Schwinn had falsely testified as to the length of his residence in California when he was naturalized in 1932. Schwinn announced that he would appeal from the Federal jurist’s order. Naturalization service officials said deportation proceedings could not be started until the case is finally settled.
