A Bureau of Consultation for the purpose of developing agriculture among the Jews was formed here with the participation of the Ort and the Union of Jewish People’s Banks in Lithuania.
The announcement of the bureau’s formation is coupled with a description of the economic situation which has greatly affected the Jewish urban population. Hundreds of Jewish families whose livelihood has been ruined or who are faced with ruination are urged to take up vegetable and fruit gardening to stave off starvation.
