Major General E. L. M. Burns, head of the United Nations truce supervision organization in Palestine, sent a report to the Security Council tonight on the Israel-Egyptian security situation since his return here.
The report, which the Council is a waiting before scheduling another session to consider Israel complaints against Egypt, is based on recent decisions of the Israel-Egyptian Mixed Armistice Commission, Gen. Burns’ personal observations on his recent inspection of the border areas and on his discussions with both the Israel and Egyptian delegations to the armistice commission on the measures he has proposed to abate tension in the Gaza strip area.
