A week-long annual all-Europe conference of the ###int Distribution committee opened here today with 19 field directors and six American Jewish leaders in attendance, Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, chairman of the agency’s European executive committee, is conference chairman.
Jefferson Caffery, U.S Ambassador to France, will address the conference’s ###oaing session on April 11, it was announced. The conference will analyse JDC Aci###ities in Europe to date, and formulate detailed plans for the remainder of 1948.
