Prime Minister Levi Eshkol told the Knesset that plans for the administration of public services and the economic development of the occupied areas for the next two years had been submitted to the Cabinet by Defense Minister Moshe Dayan. The Defense Ministry has major responsibility for the territories occupied in the Six-Day War. Gen. Dayan’s plans were described as being based on the assumption that the areas will be linked to Israel for many years to come.
