The Canadian represertatives in San Francisco will give all possible aid to the Jewish people, Acting Secretary of State Brooke Claxton has assured a delegation representing the Canadian Jewish Congress and the Zionist Organization of Canada.
The delegation submitted two briefs. The one from the Canadian Jewish Congress dealt with restitution of seized properties and the restoration of status of the Jews of Europe, protection of the stateless, and a Bill of Rights for the protection of life and liberty for all the people of the world. That submitted by the Canadian Zionist Organization dealt with Palestine. The Congress’ memorandum also recognized the importance of the idea of Palestine as a Jowish homeland.
The delegation was headed by Samuel Bronfman, the national president of the Congress. He was accompanied by F.I. Spiclman of Montreal, the national treasurer, and Saul Hayes, national executive director of the Congress, and by Rabbi Oscar Fasman of Ottawa, Edward E. Galbar of Toronto, and Mrs. Anna Raginsky of Montreal, the national president of the Hadassah Organization of Canada.
