An intensive drive for new members and the retention of present members is being carried on throughout the territory of District Grand Lodge No. 4 of the B’nai Brith and good results are reported.
District No. 4 embraces all of the subordinate lodges in California, Oregon, Washington, British Columbia, Utah, Montana, Idaho and Nevada.
The drive follows the action of the recent grand lodge convention at Salt Lake City at which specific plans for such a move were considered and definitely adopted.
Monroe Friedman of Oakland, Calif., first grand vice-president of the district, is in charge of the membership campaign.
The present membership of the district is 6,200. The goal of the drive is 7,500.
