The Israel Bond Organization office here reported today that the first 1962 Israel bond subscription from an employer-employee pension fund was made by the Northern California Retail Clerks Union and Food Employers Joint Pension Trust Fund. Fund trustees voted to buy $25,000 in Second Development Issue Israel Dollar Bonds.
The local Israel bond office said that a number of such purchases were pending and that, throughout the United States, more than $11,000,000 in Israel bond purchases have been made by trade union treasury, pension, welfare funds and retirement funds in the 11-year history of the Israel bond organization.
