California plans to issue subpoenas to some 15 European insurers doing business in the state in a bid to extract complete lists of Holocaust-era policyholders. California Insurance Commissioner Chuck Quackenbush said Tuesday he will start issuing the subpoenas next week to force the companies to attend two public hearings next month.
