The Board of Jewish Ministers of Northern California is determined to wage a fight in the forthcoming state legislature against passage of the so-called “Release bill” which would permit children to be released from public school during school hours for religious instruction elsewhere.

Word had come to the Board that presentation of the measure at the next legislature, opening in January was contemplated. Rabbi Rudolph I. Coffee of Oakland was appointed legislative representative to handle the situation.
