California’s relatively new Fair Employment Practices Commission, established only 15 months, has found “reassuring acceptance of its basic principles” in this state, a report to Gov. Edmund G. Brown, filed today by FEPC chairman John Anson Ford, declared.
Not only employers, he informed the Governor, but also much of organized labor has given the FEPC aims good support. He noted that there has been a “considerable breakthrough in action toward merited employment without regard to race, religion, creed, color, national origin or ancestry.”
