A conference of all Jewish organizations and societies that are willing to assist the Jewish back – to – the – land movement in Soviet Russia will be convoked in Moscow by the Ozet, the Society to Settle Jews on the Land, according to information received by the Icor, New York Communist organization to assist the colonization work.
The conference is to be held in Moscow. It will open on November 18 and will last one week. Invitations to participate in the conference, which was called some time ago but was postponed, were extended by the Ozet to the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the Ort, the Ica, the Argentine Jewish Committee to Help the Colonization Work in Russia, the Latvian Committee of Riga for Assisting the Jewish Colonization Work, the London Gezerd, the Hilfsverein der Deutschen Juden of Berlin, the Alliance Israelite Universelle of Paris, the Jewish Colonization Fund of South Africa, the Icor of New York and other Jewish societies.
Invitations were also extended to the Workmen’s Circle of New York. A number of Landsmanschaften in the United States were also invited to send delegates. The Ozet leaders have declared that a number of the invited organizations have expressed their consent to participate in the conference.
The agenda of the conference includes reports on various phases of the work accomplished in the colonization movement and the continuation of the work.
