Calm is now returning in Salonica. The central organ of the Venizelos Government Party in Athens is conducting a fierce campaign against the anti-Jewish movement, and the local Salonica press is also now changing its tone, and becoming more moderate. The Nationalist organisations are still continuing their threatening attitude, however, despite the demand of the Government that the agitation should be stopped.
The Jewish Community intends to take legal action against all those responsible for the anti-Jewish incitement. Adequate measures for maintaining order have been taken by the authorities.
