Officials of the Allied Jewish Appeal of Camden disclosed today that the 1959 drive has topped the 1958 contributions and that the average increases in gifts has been 40 percent above that of 1958.
The 1959 campaign passed the $210,000 mark, which was the total for the 1958 campaign, with unreported pledges from givers who contributed $50,000 last year. The 40 percent increase figure marked Camden Jewry as one of the leading American Jewish communities in percentage of increase over the previous year’s contributions.
