A nation-wide campaign to raise $75,000 to guarantee the continued existence of the Haifa Technical Institute in Palestine was launched here today. The institution lost most of its normal revenue as a result of the war.
At a dinner last week of the American Society for the Advancement of the Hebrew Institute of Technology in Haifa Dr. Karl Compton, president of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, lauded the work of the Haifa institution and stressed the importance of keeping the school going, especially under the present conditions.
