Plans are being formulated for two campaigns to be conducted among Detroit Jews for the legionnaires’ colonization fund and the Tel Hai Fund for sports and physical training of the Jewish youth.
The Zionist District of Detroit has pledged its cooperation to a legionnaires’ committee to aid it in soliciting $25,000 among Detroit Jews toward the national quota of $300,000 for the settling of 200 legionnaire families in Palestine.
A conference of organizations has been called for Sept. 7 to arrange for the legionnaires’ campaign.
