Canada experienced an 11 percent increase in reported incidents of anti-Semitic harassment and vandalism in 1999 over the year before, according to a newly issued report. The report by the League for Human Rights of B’nai Brith Canada, which cited 267 such cases last year, indicated that the incidents of harassment had become more violent over previous years.
