The campaign for the relief of stricken German and Polish Jewry under the auspices of the Canadian Jewish Congress will be launched during the month of September. The exact date of the opening of the campaign was set between September 12th and the 26th.
The objective of the campaign is to raise $250,000 and the following quotas have been alloted for the various cities and towns of the Eastern Division, which comprises the Province of Quebec and the Maritime Provinces.
Montreal will be asked to contribute the sum of $75,000; Amherst, N. S., $100; Bathurst, N. B., $100; Campbellton, N. B., $125; Charlottestown, P. E. I., $80; Chatham, N. B., $150; Dalhousie, N. B., $80; Dartmouth, N. S., $125; Drummondville, Que., $100; Fredericton, N. B., $250; Glace Bay, N. S., $2,500; Granby, Que., $100; Halifax, N. S., $2,000; Hull, Que., $150; Joliette, Que., $250; Kentville, N. S., $85; Lachine, Que., $1,250; Moncton, N. B., $300; Newcastle, N. B., $80; New Glasgow, N. S., $200; New Waterford, N.
