The General Council of the United Church of Canada, after a heated debate, has adopted a resolution on Palestine urging Britain to “continue her task in Palestine for which she is peculiarly fitted by experience.”
The resolution also deplored the “unjust criticisms of British endeavors on the part of a section of our fellow citizens,” One opponent of the resolution insisted that ” one would have to be a real British Tory to appreciate that resolution.”
