Immigration to Canada for the ten months of the fiscal year ended January 31, 1927, amounted to 118,199 compared with 76,439 for the same period a year ago, according to a statement just made public by the Department of Immigration and Colonization. This is an increase of 55 percent for the period under review.
Immigration for January, 1927, totalled 4,164, compared with 2,324 in January, 1926, an increase of 79 percent. Of this immigration 899 were British, 905 from the United States and 2,360 from other countries.
