The Canadian Jewish Congress here has completed arrangements to supervise kashruth in local Jewish butcher shops. The representative Jewish organization here will issue certificates of kashruth to butchers who undertake to abide by regulations and to submit to supervision by rabbis named by the Congress.
The arrangements are being put into effect following protracted study and negotiation with rabbinical authorities and the butchers. Final arrangements have been worked out with Rabbis David Ochs and Abraham A. Price who will cooperate in the licensing of Jewish butchers.
